Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Civasure platform, including the mobile application and web dashboard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services.

Description of Service

Civasure is a disaster readiness action platform that helps emergency management organizations:

Collect anonymous population-level preparedness data through a mobile survey application
Analyze that data in combination with public risk datasets (FEMA NRI, CDC SVI, Census ACS)
Create and manage targeted readiness campaigns
Communicate with communities through push notifications

User Accounts

Mobile App Users

The mobile app does not require an account. By using the app, you agree to provide honest responses to survey questions. Responses are anonymous and cannot be attributed to you.

Dashboard Users

Dashboard access requires an account provisioned by your organization. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use our services for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to identify individual survey respondents
Share dashboard access credentials with unauthorized individuals
Interfere with or disrupt the platform’s operation
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems
Submit false or misleading survey data
Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from our platform

Data Ownership

Survey data is collected anonymously and used in aggregate form. No individual or organization owns individual survey responses.
Aggregate analysis provided through the dashboard is licensed to subscribing organizations for their internal use during their subscription period.
Your content, such as campaigns, notes, and configurations created within the dashboard, belongs to your organization.

Intellectual Property

The Civasure platform, including its software, design, and documentation, is the property of Civasure and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your use of the platform does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property.

Third-Party Data

Our platform integrates data from public sources including FEMA, CDC, and the U.S. Census Bureau. This data is provided under its respective terms and is used for informational purposes. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party data.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

CIVASURE IS A READINESS PLANNING TOOL AND DOES NOT PROVIDE EMERGENCY RESPONSE SERVICES. DO NOT RELY ON THIS PLATFORM FOR ACTIVE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OR TIME-CRITICAL DECISIONS.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CIVASURE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Civasure from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these Terms.

Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify dashboard users of material changes via email.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
